| Reservation |
The state's reservation policy is as follows:
- 40% for Khasi/ Jaintia Candidates
- 40% for Garo Candidates
- 5% for Other Tribes of Meghalaya and Scheduled Caste
- 15% for Open Category for all candidates irrespective of Tribe/ Castes
10% of existing vacancies shall be reserved for women candidates except for posts specifically indicated only for male.

Selection Process

Description |
| Phase 1: Physical Measurement Test (PMT) |
Candidates are required to meet the minimum height requirements. Those who fail to meet the standards will be rejected. |
| Phase 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) |
The PET involves a 5 km race for male candidates and a 3 km race for female candidates. Candidates who do not complete the race within the prescribed time will be eliminated. The top 20 times of the vacancy in the respective category will be allowed to participate in the subsequent recruitment events. |
| Phase 3: Written Examination |
The written exam pattern varies for different posts. Candidates who have qualified the PET will be eligible to appear for the written exam. |
| Phase 4: Interview |
Shortlisted candidates based on performance in the written exam will be called for an interview. The interview will assess the candidate's communication skills, personality, and suitability for the role. |
| Phase 5: Medical Examination |
Candidates who have been called for the interview will be required to undergo a medical examination. The medical examination will be conducted as per the norms laid down in the official notification. |
